The jury has revealed winning artist - Luka Tsetskhladze for creation of public art installation in Rustavi. The project focuses on importance of healthy environment. Emphasize is made on environmental protection and use of recycled materials.
The project aims to emphasizing the conscious attitude towards eco system, adding a creative impulse to public space and raising public awareness on environmental issues.
Rustavi Park was chosen as a project location with 30 hectares of green territory. The park represents a positive example of environment protection in today’s Georgia with the ongoing rehabilitation process: longstanding trees are preserved around the lake, walking lines are arranged, and positive environment for cultural, sports and leisure activities is created. After the crisis period, the Park continues life and development. Positive Eco Impulse is a challenge for artists to create installation by means of recycled materials. The installation will remain in Rustavi for the period of at least one year.
The opening event of the winning project will be held on June 5, 2016 – International Day for Environment Protection.
The project is implemented with support of US Embassy, the UN Democracy Fund and Rustavi Municipality.
